1. Overview

TutorMeo ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use tutormeo.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account data (when you register):

  • Username, email address, hashed password
  • Google profile name and email (if you sign in with Google)
  • Date of registration and last active date

Usage data (automatically collected):

  • Pages visited, tools used, number of AI solves
  • IP address, browser type, device type
  • Session cookies for authentication and rate limiting

Images you upload:

  • Photos submitted to the AI solver are sent to Google Gemini for processing and are not permanently stored on our servers

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and operate the Service (authentication, rate limiting, plan management)
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
  • Improve the Service through aggregate usage analytics
  • Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service
  • Respond to support inquiries

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Cookies & Sessions

We use strictly necessary cookies for session management and CSRF protection. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used. Anonymous users have a session cookie to track daily solver usage. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will break login functionality.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Google Gemini — processes images you upload to the AI solver. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google OAuth — used for "Sign in with Google". We only receive your name and email. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare — provides DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection. May log request metadata per their privacy policy.
  • Spaceship / Spacemail — used to send transactional emails.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Aggregate, anonymised usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)

8. Children's Privacy

TutorMeo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption, hashed passwords, CSRF protection, and secure session cookies. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
